Spring is in the Air!

|

Renewal, fresh beginnings and the start of new life – it’s a great time to get spliced.  Song birds are the essence of spring, dawn-chorusing and nest-building – they’re the perfect detail for your start-of-year wedding.

Be inspired by the poet and have ‘a host of golden daffodils’ at your reception – inexpensive and simply stunning (and fragrant!) when they’re in abundance. Posies of spring flowers look delightfully romantic in our ribbed Hanging Glass Jars.

How about naming your tables after spring flowers, marking them with a gorgeous pot of snowdrops, crocuses, anemones, grape hyacinths, primroses, lily-of-the-valley, forget-me-nots, and miniature daffodils and tulips? We love this idea. Buy simple planters or collect beautiful mismatched old pots to use as your centrepiece containers, and take advice from your local garden centre on planting up. Our Shabby Metal Heart Card Holders are perfect to embed in the soil and hold your table names just incase anyone is in any doubt (well, we’re not all botanists, are we?)

And can we recommend our Forget-me-Not Personalised Seed Packet Favours as the perfect springtime wedding favours? Not least because if your guests go home and scatter them soon, they’ll come up the next year in time to remind them to send you a first year anniversary card!

Beautiful spring pictures, glorious soft sunshine. I would choose nightingales for my wedding – symbolic of love and longing – singing its passionate, yearning song deep into the starlit night.
